What is EDI integration and how does SignalEDI work?

SignalEDI maps your business data into the purchase orders, ship notices, and invoices a trading partner requires, checks those documents, and keeps responses and exceptions visible in one workspace. EDI integration is the structured exchange of those documents between trading partners.

Does a validated document mean my partner has approved it?

SignalEDI validation checks your document against the configured requirements. Your trading partner still controls testing, certification, and production approval. SignalEDI keeps those stages distinct so your team can see what is ready and what is waiting on the partner.

Can I use SignalEDI with QuickBooks Online or Desktop?

SignalEDI has separate integration paths for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Online connects through Intuit account authorization; Desktop uses Intuit’s Windows Web Connector. Each integration page lists compatibility, supported workflows, and plan requirements.

Do I pay per trading partner?

SignalEDI Starter includes 5 trading partners for one flat price. Growth and Enterprise include unlimited trading partners, so a new retailer mandate adds no per-partner fee.

Is there really no per-document fee?

SignalEDI plans include a monthly document allowance, from 250 on Seasonal to unlimited on Enterprise, with no per-document fee inside it. Beyond the allowance every plan pays $0.30 per document, and processing never pauses.

Do I need a credit card to start?

SignalEDI’s trial starts without a credit card. It runs for 30 days with Growth-tier access. You pay when you go live, or on day 31 to keep working.

Can I pause between seasons?

SignalEDI Seasonal includes Dormant mode at $20 a month, so you can pause between seasons. Partners, mappings and document history stay configured.
