Turn a customer mandate into a checklist

Select the buyer, first workflow, and system of record, then turn non-sensitive requirement notes into a downloadable readiness artifact. The tool makes unknowns visible; it does not guess private retailer specifications.

Healthcare control readinessAudit trailsSOC 2 readinessService policy

Evaluate without a sales call

Most buyers are not ready to buy on the first visit. Start with a free tool or requirement check — then trial when you are ready.

Key takeaways

  • Separate confirmed buyer facts from assumptions and open questions.
  • Keep technical readiness distinct from buyer certification and production approval.
  • Use only non-sensitive notes in the public tool; move governed work into a workspace.

Free requirements planner

Scope the customer, workflow, and system

Choose the buyer, immediate workflow, and system of record. The result is a planning artifact, not a claim about the buyer's current requirements; verify every technical field against the issued packet.

Recommended first brief

Walmart: 850 → 855 → 856 → 810 workflow matrix

  1. Save the buyer-issued guide, its version/date, assigned contacts, and written due date.
  2. List required messages, identifiers, transport, test cases, acknowledgements, labels, and exceptions.
  3. Map accepted data into QuickBooks Online; keep buyer approval as a separate, explicit go-live gate.

This browser-only planner does not save selections. Use synthetic or scrubbed data in public tools.

Requirements checker FAQ

Does the requirements checker know my retailer's private EDI specification?

No. It organizes the partner name, transaction flow, transport, identifiers, tests, and operational questions you enter. The current buyer-issued implementation guide and written approval remain authoritative.

Does SignalEDI save the notes I enter here?

The public readiness tool is designed for browser-side evaluation and downloadable local artifacts. Do not paste credentials, production partner data, PHI, or other sensitive information into a public tool.

What should be in an EDI readiness checklist?

Include the source guide and version, buyer program, required documents, identifiers, transport, acknowledgements, test cases, label and timing rules, system owners, exception paths, cutover approval, and rollback or parallel-run plan.

Save the checklist, then validate a safe sample

The checklist identifies scope. The validator helps prepare sample files. The buyer still controls certification and production approval.
